Precision Polish LLC: The Best Craftsmen of Metal Finishing

Nial Williams, President, Precision Polish LLCNial Williams, President
With metal becoming a widely used component in modern medical devices, the ensuing regulations around sanitation, safety, and biocompatibility do not come as a surprise. After all, these medical tools must be clean, defect-free, and burr-free to ensure they are not harmful when used on living tissues and organs. It, thus, becomes imperative for medical device manufacturers to produce the safest products possible and meet stringent industry standards set forth by a variety of regulators, such as the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The realization is now driving many OEMs to partner with experienced metal finishing service providers to improve the part quality and performance of the medical devices and successfully pass biocompatibility testing. On that front, the industry maven that helps medical device manufacturers meet these stringent safety demands is Precision Polish LLC.

Founded by Nial Williams in 1995, Precision Polish is a family-run business dedicated to providing the best craftsmanship in metal surface conditioning, finishing, polishing, and buffing. Notably, the true expertise of Precision Polish lies in its versatility. Under the able-leadership of Nial and his daughters, Crystal and Laura, Precision Polish serves many other sectors—beyond just the healthcare domain. The company has been a recognized industry leader offering cast layer removal, brush/satin to mirror finishing, and anything in between, along with bead and sandblasting for turbine blades, vanes and airfoils, metal furniture, firearms, as well as power generation, automotive, and boat hardware.

These extensive experiences in different metals and a variety of components have made Precision Polish a common name in the medtech sector, especially during the current COVID-19 situation.
The company is helping biomedical device manufacturers scale up their equipment production with a quick turnaround time to facilitate the timely delivery of necessary healthcare devices. “We can perform work on any metals ranging from soft aluminum, copper, bronze, and brass to stainless steel, titanium, and more complex nickel/cobalt alloys,” underlines Crystal, the quality control manager at Precision Polish.

Elaborating on her company’s work processes, Crystal notes, as long as a metal component fits in Precision Polish’s facility, they can polish it. Precision Polish can moreover place its clients’ metal parts through the ultrasonic vapor degreaser if required. It helps in cleansing and preparing a workpiece for further finishing processes. Crystal adds, “We can also prepare metal items before electroplating for the desired finish.”

At this juncture, what help Precision Polish stay ahead of the curve is its dedicated workforce and a commitment to quality. The company’s management and staff maintain a personal and professional commitment to ensuring high-quality standards and on-time deliveries. “We work according to our clients’ schedule and budget to help them become more cost-effective in today’s competitive healthcare market,” shares Crystal. To this extent, the Precision Polish team documents and inspects all the metal parts during arrival at the facility and prior to shipping—to ascertain the best quality products. Moving forward with such a multi-domain legacy, Precision Polish is poised to enhance its expertise further. “My plan is to keep growing this business as my father envisioned,” concludes a confident Crystal.
